Polyurethane foaming machine requirements for polyurethane base and treatment methods
- The waterproof base of polyurethane should be smoothed with 1:3 cement mortar to a 1/50 flashing slope according to the design requirements. The surface should be smoothed and polished. No defects such as unevenness, looseness, sand and dust are allowed. The drain or floor drain should be lower than the entire waterproof layer to drain the accumulated water. The pipe part with a sleeve should be more than 20mm higher than the base surface. The corners should be made into small fillets with a radius of 10mm to facilitate the application of paint.
- All pipe fittings, sanitary equipment, floor drains or drains must be installed firmly, with tight joints and smooth ends, and no looseness is allowed.
- During construction, when traditional polyurethane waterproof coatings are applied, the waterproof base should be basically dry, and the moisture content should be less than 9%. The simple measurement method is to cover the base surface with a rubber sheet of 1㎡ and a thickness of 1.5-2.0mm, and place it for 2-3 hours. If there is no watermark on the surface of the covered base, and there is no condensed watermark on the rubber sheet close to the base, experience shows that its moisture content is less than 9%, which meets the construction requirements. The 911 type polyurethane coating produced by Xi'an Yuzhongqing Waterproof Materials Co., Ltd. does not have this requirement, as long as there is no clear water on the base, it can be constructed.
- Before construction, use a shovel and broom to remove foreign objects such as protrusions, mortar lumps, etc. on the surface of the base, and thoroughly clean up dust and debris. The corners, pipe roots, floor drains and drainage ditch openings should be cleaned more carefully. If oil stains, rust, etc. are found, they should be thoroughly cleaned with wire brushes, sandpaper and organic solvents.
Note: Polyurethane solidifies by absorbing water, so it must not come into contact with water. Remember, never!!!
If polyurethane foam gets on your hands, there are two ways to deal with it:
- Wash with polyurethane foam cleaning agent before the polyurethane foaming agent solidifies. However, spraying it directly on your hands will be very cold and bone-chilling (even in summer)
- After the foaming agent dries, you can peel it off. Pure foaming agent is actually not sticky. If it comes into contact with water, it will be very troublesome.
